High Magic Adventure
Alphecia is a Anime Fantasy world with more traditional fantasy plots. Taking place on the world it's named for, characters will need to overcome "level appropriate" challenges that can have large impacts if they pass or fail.
Anime Fantasy takes place in the Renaissance period or before, and typically has non-human races, magic, and monsters. The biggest difference between Anime Fantasy and Fantasy is Anime Fantasy is often 'cleaner' and blurs technology levels. For example, a medieval period city in Anime Fantasy might have clean streets, a shop that sells candy, and an adventurer wearing shorts and a halter top while in Fantasy the streets are dirty, shops focus on blacksmithy and general goods, and people typically wear the correct clothing for the time period.
The Middle ages. The time of castles and knights. Travel is done through walking, carts or on horseback. Trans ocean travel is typically not possible.
The Gregorian Calendar. Months are January through December, days are Sunday through Saturday, and years are measured in AD and BC.
There are multiple or even many different types of races. In villages and remote places a particular race might still be the majority or all of the population but in cities or other places of trade it is very common to see many different types of races.
Magic is real in the setting and it is everywhere. Cities have schools for learning magic and temples and churches are assumed to have people who can use healing magic. Magic also most likely is weaved into technology allowing people to do things that otherwise would have been invented much later in the future.
Magic is limited to those having a magic based class. In a video game or isekai this might literally be someone having a magic class. In other story types, it might be more tied to a large amount of education and focus required.
While not everywhere in Alphecia is forest, the Swamps, rainforests, Evergreen and mixed forests make up the vast majority of the planet. The planet has lakes and rivers but no oceans. There are also tall mountains and low valleys.
